I’d like to invite you to subscribe to my blog – The Hitchhiker's Guide to Venture Capital.
I’ve completed a manuscript for my book VENTURE, The Inside Story of Venture Capital, which is currently being marketed to publishers by my newly signed book agent.
Much of the content will get old fast; so I want to share some of the book and other insights into the VC market in Silicon Valley and around the world via this blog.
Over 40 VCs, CEOs and deal lawyers contributed stories that made it into my book and I’m already collecting stories and new ideas for the second edition of the book.
I’ll post a first blog post featuring my interview with Tim Draper, founder and Managing Director, Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), discussing the “Draper Wave”, which examines the relationship between venture capital and private equity in the context of economic cycles from 1957, when his grand father started venture capital on the West Coast, until today.
Check out the title and cover art generously designed by Bill Harris, former CEO of PayPal and Intuit and current CEO of Personal Capital. Thank you Bill and everyone that helped crowdsource the book title and the name of this blog!
